Roof repair
Investigate the water path, identify the failed detail, and decide how a repair can connect to sound surrounding roofing. A surface patch does not address damaged layers underneath.
Understand roof repair
Roof repairs, replacement and commercial work start with different questions. We help you understand the work your roof needs and arrange a free inspection for the property.
Free roof inspections. Clear repair and replacement options.
A leak calls for a search for the water-entry point. A replacement decision calls for a look at the condition of the covering and the layers that would stay or be rebuilt. An inspection is the way to work out that scope when the answer is not clear.
Storm concerns add a timing and damage question, while commercial roofs bring drainage, equipment and occupied-building constraints into the decision. The job is to connect those concerns to the actual work rather than choose a service from a symptom alone.

Understand roof repair
Compare a repair with removal and a rebuilt roof system. Decking, underlayment, flashing, ventilation and material choices help define the complete scope.
Understand roof replacement
Understand the covering, flashing and roof details before choosing a repair or a replacement.
Explore roof inspections
Assess the physical roof concern and distinguish repair work from event records and insurance decisions.
Explore storm and hail damage
Discuss water entering now, safe precautions and temporary protection versus a permanent repair.
Explore urgent roof leaks
Connect the shingle choice to the deck, water-shedding layers, flashing and roof geometry.
Explore asphalt shingles
Compare panel attachment, movement, penetrations and maintenance around the actual roof.
Explore metal roofing
Follow the water path at walls, chimneys and edges and understand when the joint needs rebuilding.
Explore flashing repair
Consider the intake, exhaust and attic assembly together instead of adding a vent in isolation.
Explore roof ventilation
Keep roof runoff moving through the eave, outlet and downspout to an appropriate discharge.
Explore gutters and drainage
Separate a unit problem from the flashing, curb and surrounding roof connection.
Explore skylight connectionsA leak over an occupied building needs a scope that accounts for the roof assembly, drainage, equipment and the people using the space below. Membrane repairs, a restoration coating and replacement solve different conditions.
The commercial roof assessment starts with what can remain sound and dry, how repairs join the existing system and what access or work sequencing the building needs.
Explore commercial roofing
The existing roof determines compatible repair details and the options worth considering. These pages explain the work and its limits.
| Commercial service | What it addresses |
|---|---|
| Flat roof repair | Leaks at seams, penetrations and drains, plus the moisture and support conditions that can widen a repair. |
| TPO roofing | Thermoplastic membrane seams, attachment and transitions around the building. |
| EPDM roofing | Rubber-membrane seams and compatible repair materials around the existing assembly. |
| Roof coatings | Restoration suitability, preparation, adhesion and the retained roof beneath the coating. |
A shingle or flashing repair needs enough access to rebuild its connection to the surrounding roof. Sealing the top of a joint does not always restore the water-shedding layers beneath it.
Soft or deteriorated wood changes what can support the covering. Removing damaged material can widen a small repair, and the proposed work needs to account for what is found.
A roofing project can involve vents, electrical equipment, gas lines or skylight units. Required disconnects, reconnects and related permits belong with the appropriately licensed trades.
Our cost guide explains a replacement planning example and why it cannot price every roof concern. Yukon permit requirements and fees have their own guide.
| Roof decision | What changes its scope |
|---|---|
| Localized repair | The failed component, adjoining material, access and damage underneath. |
| Replacement | Measured roof surface, pitch, layers, decking, flashing and selected system. |
| Commercial work | Existing assembly, moisture, drainage, attachment, details, access and occupants. |
Start with what you have noticed and the property location. A leak, loose covering or replacement concern gives the roofer a starting point for the inspection.
Yes. Tell us how the building is used, where the leak or concern appears and the roof type if you know it. The actual system and contractor match need to be confirmed for the project.
No. Removal, the deck, water-shedding layers, edges, penetrations and ventilation all affect the replacement scope. Those parts need to fit the actual roof and selected products.

You do not need to choose the repair before asking for help. Tell us what is happening at the property and request a free roof inspection.
